Come on Now Peace Plane

Yusuf Islam, the former Cat Stevens, tried to enter the U.S. yesterday. His plane from London was instead diverted to Bangor, Maine, where he was detained and now is waiting to be deported back to the U.K., on the grounds that he supports terrorist groups. (Easy shot: I guess burdening the world with an oeuvre of hippy-dippy songs wasn't the worst thing he did.) Of course, more likely the guy's getting in trouble on account of his last name, as have other known enemies of the state like Ted Kennedy.

Predictably, I blame W. Only the MBA president, with his razorlike business acumen, would have replaced the big, slow, and idiotic airport-security bureaucracy on 9/10/01 with a bigger, slower, and more idiotic one.
