Jigga-who?

In today's New York Times Al Gore offers some advice to John Kerry for tomorrow night's debate. It's mostly standard stuff, with some good reminders that Bush is a killer debater. But I found this statement to be spit-take inducing:

The debates aren't a time for rhetorical tricks. It's a time for an honest contest of ideas.

Um. What? Are you kidding me right now?
