Thanksgiving Blogging

Well, it's almost Turkey day (or Tofurkey day, if you prefer). Blogging this weekend will be light to non-existent, as we all plan to spend the better part of the next four days in a tryptophan-induced coma. But, to tide you over:

Here is a list of 21 reasons for progressives to be thankful, courtesy the Progress Report.

Here is an indispensable guide to riding shotgun, should any questions arise on your Thanksgiving roadtrip. (We particularly like Amendment XV.)

And here, two days early, is your Friday poetry blogging, late-Autumn style:

Ancient Music, by Ezra Pound
Winter is icummen in,
Lhude sing Goddamm,
Raineth drop and staineth slop,
and how the wind doth ramm,
Sing: Goddamm.
Skiddeth bus and sloppeth us,
An ague hath my ham.
Freezeth river, turneth liver,
Damn you, sing: Goddamm.
Goddamm, Goddamm, 'tis why I am, Goddamm,
So 'gainst the winter's balm.
Sing goddamm, damm, sing Goddamm,
Sing goddamm, sing goddamm, DAMM.

Have a safe and happy holiday.
