Hey Nanny Nanny No!

Well, it looks like maybe Kevin Drum was right, and the Kerik "Nanny defense" was a ruse to cover up for Kerik's multiplicity of actual illegal (and appalling) acts. The NY Times found absolutely no evidence of a nanny's existence after extensive investigative reporting, and meanwhile the other foul deeds just keep a-croppin' up. Josh Marshall is keeping track of all the details in his usual excellent manner. I remember talking with friends before the election, and we all agreed that in the event that the worst happened and Dubya got re-elected, there'd be some small source of comfort in that it would mean that all the crap they'd been covering up for the past four years would finally start to leak out and contaminate them. Let's hope this is just the tip of the iceberg.
