International Interconnectedness

Today I went to Caribou Coffee for my usual medium-sized light roast in a large cup. Well, Caribou, caring and compassionate like every corporation, is providing tsunami relief by donating $1.00 of every cup of Sumatra purchased. I hate Sumatra, but now in some yuppie-urban-entitlement kind of way I'm supposed to feel like I’ve really helped. What good corporate caffiene citizens are we? This is a lot like when I was a kid and purchased my copy of We are the World. Look at me I care, damn it. I care! Speaking of CARE, I don't donate to those kids on Halloween either.

Two pieces of advice: 1) give me coffee that doesn’t taste like crap; and 2) build inland.

Tsunami jokes…too tsoon?
