Iraq - Still There!

As the glory of the recent election fades into the grimy reality of governance, the insurgency is apparently pursuing a two-pronged approach aimed at fomenting a civil war: first, by sparking conflict between ethnic and religious groups and, second, by attempting to make Baghdad an unlivable city. According to the Times, "the choice of targets and the timing of sabotage attacks has evolved over the past several months, shifting from economic targets to become what amounts to a siege of the capital." Shock and awe, anyone?
