Learning a Lesson from Labour
TAPPED is right - the DNC could really learn a lesson from the Labour Party. While it's certainly easier to make a case for yourself when you're the party in power, the whole tone of the Labour Party's website is predicated on framing the debate in their terms. From the cool "what's Labour done for you" feature, which lets you search by postal code to see how you've benefitted from Labour policies, to the assertiveness of the header ("Britain is working. Don't let the Tories wreck it again"), the whole website is an excellent example of powerful political positioning for a virtual age. Tony Blair's leadership may not have lived up to expectations, but as a model for how to present a coherent, persuasive image, his party's website is tough to beat.
