NBA Basketball: It's Fantastically Awful

I don't much care for NBA basketball, except during the finals, when watching is more What Guys Do. The game is simply too boring to watch except when the stakes are high. This article in the Times is a cutting and thoughtful indictment of the current state of NBA play, in which the dunk is so important that teamwork declines and disappears. Fascinating stuff, and excellent sports journalism.
