Greatest Hit-achis

You won't see this on American Idol, but it's still pretty cool and bizarre: a Schoolhouse Rock-ish animation about a new means for saving digital information. Just try to get the song back out of your head. My questions are twofold:
a) When is this technology going to hit the market? My laptop's hard drive is full, full, full.
b) How did the engineers at Hitachi get the budget for this? My boss can't even get lunch paid for.
