Life in a Northern Clime

This story about the snowmobile-crazy micropolis of Eagle River, Wisconsin, takes me back, back, waaaay back. I grew up a few snowy miles north in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, a place where you can "Sunday best" clothes means choosing between your Lions/Packers jacket and your Ski-Doo/Polaris one. Rural life is alive and well in America, albeit at higher speeds than ever.
