Sean Penn has never been one of my favorite actors - I find him brutish and predictable - but this just really tops it. Via Ampersand:

Hollywood activist SEAN PENN has a plastic doll of conservative US columnist ANN COULTER that he likes to abuse when angry. The Oscar-winner actor has hated Coulter ever since she blacklisted his director father LEO PENN in her book TREASON. And he takes out his frustrations with Coulter, who is a best-selling author, lawyer and television pundit, on the Barble-like doll. Well, fuck, Sean, aren't you just the picture of a progressive lefty male? No one could hold Ann Coulter in lower esteem than I do, but this kind of bullshit response says a lot more about Mr. Penn's latent sexism than it does about his political views. Color me disgusted.
