Talking Points Memo reports that bribe-happy Ohio congressman Bob Ney is defending himself against charges of corruption by claiming that his critics base their "latest negative attacks solely on the tainted words of a slick trial lawyer and a convicted felon like Jack Abramoff." Among other crimes, Abramoff was convicted of bribing Ney! As Josh Marshall says, "This truly has to be the reductio ad absurdum of GOP anti-trial lawyer politics."
