Friday Poetry Blogging

Driving up to the Cities this morning, I heard MPR's Midmorning show with Ed Bok Lee, a Minnesota poet whose recent Real Karaoke People is up for a Minnesota Book Award. The show was great in particular because Lee read some stunning stuff like this prose poem, "The Man from Guangdong," a particularly apt work in our season of manufactured outrage about illegal immigration and Spanish-language versions of the "Star Spangled Banner."

Lee has more poems here and here on his website. I must get the book.
