Congrats to the Tigers

The Tigers seem to have shaken the September monkey off their back and have recovered from their end of season stumble. The Tigers looked great knocking off the Yankees. I'm happy that the AL Central still has a chance as the Twins decided to follow the Sox lead and try to get in some golf before the season's over.

Two interesting points:
1. Salaries. The Tigers payroll for this year is about 116 million less than the Yankees. The Yanks have spent around $200 Mil each season, over the past five years and still can't buy the world series.
2. East Coast Bias. ESPN (Eastern Sports Promotion Network) now has to embrace the Mets, as Boston and the Yankees are out for the year.

Best of luck to the Tigers.
