It's Fall, and a Young Man's Mind Turns to

Sledding.

And since there's no snow, Linerider, an incredibly fun and addictive Flash game, is the next best thing. It's satisfying to design a hill that the little sledding guy can safely descend, but it's freaking hilarious to create one that results in disaster: he builds some speed and then gets launched, red tassels flying, into the air, only to crash down with his limbs pointing in unhealthy directions. There's something about a broken leg that just cracks me up.

Which is why my career as an E.R. doctor in a ski town never quite took off.
