Anytime, Anywhere

Joining the set of international symbols is a new one for breastfeeding.

The icon was chosen in a contest run by Mothering magazine, which has a fascinating interview with the icon's designer, Matt Daigle of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The icon's in the public domain, free for use by anyone who wants (as the magazine says) "to increase public awareness of breastfeeding, to provide an alternative to the use of a baby bottle image to designate baby friendly areas in public, and to mark breastfeeding friendly facilities."
