Blog positive

Loyal reader and commenter Fernzee sent us a request today that oddly coincided with some of my own feelings:

I have a small request. You guys do this on a goodly basis, but I was wondering if daily, one of you three could blog something that is hopeful. Anything. Whether it is of a person returning $500 dollars, or a picture of the ground when you skydive. Something. Anything. Daily.

Reason why I request this is because in google search today, I typed in "I am looking for hope today," and the results were less then stellar. And with this general feeling that the whole world is measuring a handbasket that fits into hell, I need a glimmer of something to balance out the bleahs.

I hear you, buddy. I haven't even been able to get up the gumption to post anything today, because it's all so damn depressing. I don't know if we'll be able to do it every day, but I'm gonna start trying to do it more often. Because, as you say, those glimmers are so important to maintaining a non-suicidal outlook.

For today's positive item, check out this video game, created by the UN refugee agency "to promote integration and positive attitudes towards refugees by putting players in their shoes." A nice antidote to GTA Vice City.

Or, if you're not into video games, these cars, from a Swedish toy company, are cool:

OK, Fernzee. Consider yourself blogged positive. And thanks for the request.
