Hump-day Top 5 List
I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I hate my job. I mean really, really, I'd - leave - it - in - a - second - if - I - weren't - addicted - to - benefits - and - housing kind of hate it. And especially on a day like today, where it's absolutely perfectly gorgeous outside and I'm stuck in a cubicle all day. Plus, I'm getting slammed this week with last-minute "urgent" "tasks." Blech. So today's top five list answers the question, "What are the top five things you'd rather be doing right now than working?" Before you start thinking, two things: 1) Of course being a stay-at-home parent counts as work. Sheesh. 2) If you're one of those assholes who loves your job and can't imagine anything you'd rather be doing, then your list can be "top five reasons Elise shouldn't hunt you down and kill you."
1. Researching British theatre at the Bodleian
2. Gardening
3. Sailing on Lake Como
4. Painting or sewing - you know, something actually productive
5. Lying on the beach with a good novel and a cold beer.
