And I'm trying not to jinx the Red Sox by thinking positive thoughts. They just brought out the cops in freaking riot gear to protect the players from the potentially rabid New York fans, who were peppering the field with balls and other detritus. These are some people who are serious about their game. And I don't mean that as compliment.
