Roe v. Wade is here to stay
In this thought-provoking piece, Robert Landauer argues that, no matter what its supporters on the left or its enemies on the right think, Roe v. Wade is here to stay.
Repeating others' arguments, Landauer holds that the Rightists to don't really want to reverse the decision because they would then lose a major rhetorical weapon and fundraising tool. More interestingly, Landauer also argues that the Supreme Court would never overturn Roe because doing so would irreversibly harm "the institutional stature, reputation and dependability of the Supreme Court itself." It's well worth reading, no matter your views on abortion.
