Friday Poetry Blogging - Nonsense Edition

Having spent all day wading in the chilly currents of Business Prose, I thought "Jabberwocky" by Lewis Carroll was especially appropriate as this Friday's poem. This is the climax; follow the link for all 28 lines. (f this blog was as cool as it could be, this post would have an audio clip of Elise reading this aloud. Ain't nobody read the nonsense better than her.)

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack.
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

"Has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Calloh! Callay!
He chortled in his joy.

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
