This letter from prominent legal scholars to Senator Leahy and Specter is the thinking person's response to the know-nothing/ask-nothing conservatives who think asking Supreme Court nominees about their, you know, legal philosophies oughta be out of bounds. Be sure to read the ten questions they think should be asked. The last one's a doozy:
