Summertime and the Livin' Easy

From today's American Progress Report:

VALUES -- NICE WORK, IF YOU CAN GET IT: As he begins a five-week stay at his Crawford ranch, George Bush should take heart in knowing he’ll break at least one presidential record: the Washington Post reports this morning that he is on course to shatter Ronald Reagan’s all-time high for most presidential vacation days. With three and a half years left in his second term, Bush has already spent 319 days on vacation – almost 20% of his time in office. Reagan, another president famous for his ranching retreats, spent 335 days on vacation spread across 8 years. "I'm looking forward to getting down there and just kind of settling in," Bush told reporters at a roundtable on Monday, before the trip.
Twenty percent! That's even better than the average minimum-wage worker!
