Baxter's One Year Anniversary

Over the weekend, we celebrated our one year anniversary of Baxter's adoption from the Hennepin County Humane Society. She's Lab/Chow/Rottweiler mix - interestingly enough, that's the same mix as when we got her. She's about 5 or 6 years old now. The last year has been pretty cool. The only problems we've encountered with her is that she loves grated Parmesan cheese. If a container has been opened and left on the counter, it can be found minutes later in her bed. I think she rolls in it as much as she eats it. Ah, a big black dog covered in cheese with the breath of old socks. Oh, and regardless of cheese, she has some really bad gas. Usually they're of the silent-but-deadly variety, but yesterday her fart made noise and it spooked her. Watching a 75-lb dog get spooked by its own fart, now that's pretty funny.
