Porn for Bibles
Ha! I'm not sure this is good, but it sure is funny:
A group of atheists at the University of Texas in San Antonio is trying to tempt college kids into trading their Bibles for pornography. It's part of a program called Smut for Smut sponsored by the student organization called Atheist Agenda. In the transcript of the interview, note the silliness in Tucker Carlson's penultimate comment. Talking about morality, he claims "the law itself is based on at least a notion of abstract right and wrong, and that is not rooted in empathy or any emotion, but ... you know, an abstract belief that this is right and this is wrong because someone larger, in control, says so."
That's just the sort of fuzzy thinking that explains how you got your ass fired, Tucker. What about money, f'instance? We all agree to use money, and implicitly accept "an abstract belief" in the underlying value of, say, a greenback, yet we don't need anyone bigger than the secretary of the treasury to say a dollar's a dollar. Take that back to your Beltway Bow Tie reading group and discuss.
