Milk: It's What's for Dinner

Part of my job entails searching various online databases for funding opportunities of which the college or faculty can avail themselves. This sometimes turns up some wacky stuff, like the National Dairy Shrine.

National Dairy Shrine brings together dairy producers, scientists, students, educators, marketers and others who share a desire to preserve our dairy heritage and keep the dairy industry strong. Founded in 1949 by a small group of visionary dairy leaders, National Dairy Shrine now has over 17,000 members encompassing virtually every facet of the industry.

National Dairy Shrine missions
1. Honor past and present dairy leaders.
2. Inspire future dairy leaders.
3. Record dairy industry history.
4. Promote the dairy industry.
Okay, but shrine? "Visionary dairy leaders"? "I see... yogurt! I see... ice cream! I see... cheese everywhere!"
