Madeline, the Swimming Robot

In general, I'm thoroughly creeped out by robots, whether soulless industrial automata, killers sent back from the future, or vaccum cleaners.

Somehow, though, I can't be too worried about a swimming robot named Madeleine which is helping evolutionary scientists figure out why penguins and seals only use their front flippers to swim. No, it's not because they're lazy. Watch her go! (QuickTime required)
