Best line of his "if it don't abate, we must escalate" speech:

"There will be no surrender ceremony on the deck of a battleship."

But will there be a "mission accomplished" party on the deck of an aircraft carrier?

(Oh, and he just namechecked Fightin' Joe Lieberman when announcing a "bipartisan" study group. I'm sure that'll be prominently featured in Lieberman's memoir.)
