Not Your Baseball Cards

The narrowly-focused and often depressing blog Steroid Nation (devoted to news about pro athletes' use of steroids and other performance enhancing drugs) just posted about an eyebrow-raising article on the current fad for "premium" sports cards. They're not wrapped in foil and they don't apparently have cheesy 3D graphics, but they do include pieces of game-worn jerseys and cost upwards of $500 a box. One set from Upper Deck runs $800. Truly, we are in the end times.
